One More Hour of Chill: Easy Non-Alcoholic Mocktails for Fall Back Weekend
Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, November 2, 2025. The clocks roll back and you get sixty bonus minutes. Use them well. Slow breakfast. A long walk. A quick tidy. Then settle in with something bright over ice.
Below are two simple mocktails you can make with what you already have. There is a single-serve sipper and a pitcher that is ready when friends drop by. Add a 5-minute garnish bar and you are hosting without the stress.
Why these work
- 3 to 4 ingredients each
- Scales up without fuss
- Pours clean over ice, no special tools needed
Recipe 1: Citrus Nightcap
You will need
- 4 oz Best Dirty Lemonade, any flavor you love
- 2 oz chilled seltzer
- 1 wide strip orange peel
- Ice
Build
- Fill a rocks glass with ice.
- Add Best Dirty Lemonade, then top with seltzer.
- Express the orange peel over the glass, rim it, drop it in, and stir gently.
Pro tip
Swap the orange peel for lemon if you want more brightness. Add 2 dashes of bitters if your crew uses them.
Recipe 2: Fireplace Fizz — Pitcher for 8
You will need
- 12 oz Best Dirty Lemonade, classic flavor
- 12 oz chilled apple cider
- 12 oz chilled seltzer, added just before serving
- Apple slices and cinnamon sticks for garnish
- Ice
Build
- In a pitcher, combine Best Dirty Lemonade and apple cider. Chill.
- Just before serving, add seltzer and stir once or twice.
- Pour over ice. Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick.
Batch math
For 16 servings, double everything. Add the seltzer right before you pour.
5-minute garnish bar
Put out lemon wheels, lime wedges, orange peels, cranberries, mint, and rosemary. A small card can read: start with ice, pour, stir, garnish. Keep a bowl of citrus next to the cutting board so guests can DIY.
Format guide
Singles are perfect for recipes and measuring. 4-packs cover the evening. 12-packs are great if you are hosting all weekend. Keep one shelf cold and a backup shelf room temp.
